Why client visibility is hard

The client wants to see the project. You don't want them to see everything.

Email a screenshot? Stale by Tuesday. Give them access to your tools? They see your internal notes. Most consultancies fall back to monthly reports because the middle ground is too hard.

Monthly reports age fast

You ship a report on the 1st. By the 15th the client has questions about data that's changed. You answer with email; the report is now stale; the client trusts the report less.

Email screenshots leak

A PM sends a cost-report screenshot to the client. The screenshot is in plain Outlook history forever. The internal-only column happens to be visible.

Tool access is too much

Granting the client access to Projavio shows them your internal notes, your variation reasoning, your supplier shortlist. Not what you want.

What's inside

A client-facing surface that respects the line between yours and theirs.

Redacted views

Per-module visibility toggles. Programme on, cost summary yes / no, variations approved-only, documents specific-pack-only.

Per-project, per-client

Different clients get different views. Sensitive client gets summary-only; collaborative client gets fuller detail.

Live data

Every section reads from the live project. Numbers are current; the client never sees stale screenshots.

Variation approval

Clients approve / reject variations through the portal with timestamped audit. The "did they approve it?" question is never ambiguous.

Document pack

Curated client-facing document pack. Drawings, reports, certificates - what you want shared, when.

Client communications

Per-project messaging thread visible to client + project team. The email chain becomes searchable in context.

Who uses it

Built for both sides of the client conversation.

Project Managers

Stop fielding daily "where are we?" emails. Client opens the portal, sees what you want them to see, asks specific questions.

Directors

Strategic clients get strategic visibility; transactional clients get summary visibility. The portal scales the conversation.

Clients

A live read of the project that doesn't require a fortnightly meeting. Trust grows because the data is current and the access is direct.

Frequently asked questions

How granular is the visibility control?

Module-level toggles per project. Cost report can show summary or detail or be hidden entirely. Variations can be approved-only or all. Granularity expands per roadmap.

Can clients comment / approve through it?

Yes - variation approval, document acknowledgement, programme milestone sign-off all work through the portal with timestamped audit.

Does the client need an account?

Yes - clients have lightweight accounts scoped per project. Multiple client users supported per project.

Can the portal be branded for our firm?

Yes - workspace branding (logo, colours) renders on the portal so the client sees your firm, not generic Projavio chrome.
